Nine Days to Go!

In 9 days (count 'em NINE days), Kimber and I will meet for the first time in 25 years! Chicago O'Hare Airport will never be the same. We'll board a plane to London to celebrate the wedding of my "daughter", Priya Visavadia.

Priya was a student at Kansas State University five years ago. Curtis and I "adopted" her and we have shared many wonderful times together. Three years ago, Curtis and I went to London for her graduation from university and now she is getting married! I can't wait to see her and all her family.

Kimber found me late last year (isn't the internet a wonderful thing?) and we picked up right where we left off. When she heard I was going to London, she showed some interest (okay, she begged me to let her go along) and the next thing we knew, the tickets were purchased, passports were renewed and the count down had started. by Sayra (that's my traveling name)

Highlights thus far: sending our measurements (OUR MEASUREMENTS) to Priya's wonderful sister, Kavita, who is sorting out what clothes we will wear to the wedding; Kimber having her 5 year old daughter take her photo in a dressing room while trying on a traditional Indian garmet in the Global Market in Atlanta; deciding to go to Paris for a day (and my misfiguring the cost by about a gazillion dollars; and realizing that we will each be spending 10 days with someone with whom we agree politically. What could be better?
